John C. Fields: COOLAGEs Of ESQUARTISt - Artist Resume

 

John C. Fields is a retired attorney and self-taught collage artist who uses no scissors. John graduated Harvard (1974) and Rutgers Law (1979). For many years he worked with NYC Housing Preservation & Development and as general counsel to a not-for-profit on affordable housing projects. As a lawyer, John started collaging old book boards to use as paperweights for the piles of documents on his desk, getting most of his book boards from the Rare Book Room at the Strand bookstore. John has shown his work at the Tompkins Square Library in the East Village. COOLAGEs Of ESQUARTISt is his first solo show.
